Thor Dresler

Thor Dresler ( born March 10, 1979 in Herlev ) is a Danish professional ice hockey player who stands since 2011 at the Herlev Hornets in the AL -Bank Ligaen under contract.

Career

Thor Dresler began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Herlev Hornets, for their seniors team he was in the 1st Division, the second Danish League, active from 1995 to 1998. In the season 1998/99 he made his debut for the first team of Hvidovre Ishockey in the AL -Bank Ligaen. Then he returned to Herlev, which was also risen in the meantime in the highest Danish league. In Herlev he stayed for two years until 2001, before he spent one season at Gislaveds SK and IF Troja Ljungby - in HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division. From 2003 to 2007 he ran again for the Herlev Hornets, where he finished the 2005/06 season in the Swedish second division club IFK Arboga IK.

The season 2007/ 08 spent Dresler at the Odense Bulldogs in the AL -Bank Ligaen. He then spent two years playing for the reigning champions at this time Herning Blue Fox, in which he was even captain in his second year. In the season 2010/11 he was for his former club Hvidovre league hockey on the ice, before returning to the next season once more to the Herlev Hornets.

Internationally

For Denmark Dresler took at junior level at the U18 Junior B European Championships in 1996 and 1997 and the U20 Junior C World Cup 1997 and the U20 Junior B World Cup 1999 part. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the B World Cup 2002 and the A- World Championships 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
