Tibor Pézsa

Tibor Pézsa (* November 15, 1935 in Esztergom ) is a former Hungarian saber fencer. He won a gold and three bronze medals at the Olympic Games.

Tibor Pézsa participated in the Summer Olympic Games in 1964 partially in Tokyo and won the gold medal in saber individual there. With the team he could only reach the fifth place in Tokyo. Four years later, at the Olympic Summer Games 1968 in Mexico City, Pézsa won two gold medals in singles and with the team. In Munich at the 1972 Summer Olympics he finished fifth in the individual. With the team he won bronze in Munich again.

In the World Fencing Championships 1966 Pézsa Vice World Champion in singles at the World Fencing Championships 1967, he won bronze. Tibor Pézsa was at the Fencing World Cup 1970 world champion in singles, which previously only in 1966 succeeded him with the team. In 1970 he was runner-up with the team.
