Geography

Geographical Location

The community Tiefenbach is directly adjacent to the city of Landshut. A structural integration is not given due to the topography. The municipality is bounded on the north by the River Isar and the federal highway 11. In the east, the B 15 Landshut runs - Rosenheim almost parallel along the municipal boundary. The main village Tiefenbach is located 5 km southwest of the center of Landshut (St. Martin). Within 15 minutes you can reach the entire municipal area of the town center of Landshut. The distance to the city of Munich is about 75 km, about 65 km to Regensburg.

History

In the early settlement of the municipality is Bronze Age tumuli point at bathhouse branch from 1400 to 1200 BC In the urnfield time ( 1300-750 BC) large refuges were created as the Schlossberg, which was burned down around 450 BC. From the following era of the Celts themselves Viereckschanzen see Appersdorf and bathhouse branch. Tiufenbach is first documented in 1136, in 1261 a Tributary de Teufenbach is mentioned. The Gemendorferische matriculation of 1524 leads to Tiffenbach as first among the branches Echings. About Teuffenpach ( 1614) and Tieffnpach (1752 ) continued from 1811, the spelling Tiefenbach through.

Tiefenbach belonged to Rentamt Landshut and Erding district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. 1803 was assigned to the District Court of Landshut. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

Out of the municipality was merged into an administrative community with Kumhausen. In the north- east of the municipality several times limit corrections were made with the neighboring town of Eching to obtain land for the construction of the treatment plant and the expansion of the sports field.

The partnership between the municipalities of Tiefenbach and Lusern in Trentino was founded in 2001.

Incorporations

The municipality Tiefenbach included before the 1971 local government reform only Tiefenbach and Golding. The municipality branch joined on 1 April 1971 on a voluntary basis. On 1 May 1978, the area around two churches, the formerly belonged to the municipality Münchsdorf, the community Tiefenbach was affiliated.

Attractions

  • Branch Church of St. Ulrich. The on top of a hill, visible from afar, belonging to the parish church road was co-founded in the 15th century by Kastulus pen in Moosburg. The late Gothic, modified in the Baroque period building has inside altars from the second half of the 17th century, the Journal of the high altar depicts the patron St. Ulrich. 1989/1990 the nave was extended and created on the north side, a second input.
