Tim Heed

Tim Heed (* January 27, 1991 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Skellefteå AIK Hockey Svenska ligands since 2013. His father Jonas was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Tim Heed began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the Södertälje SK. For its professional team of defenders were in the 2009/10 season his debut in the Elitserien. In his rookie year in 27 games he scored a goal and had nine assists. After the penultimate place in the main round he succeeded with his team in the Kvalserien the league. To this he contributed four assists in ten games. Subsequently, the Swedish junior national player in NHL Entry Draft 2010 was selected in the fifth round as the 132nd overall player of the Anaheim Ducks. In the 2010/11 season he played in the main round for the most part as Players out on loan for the Växjö Lakers in the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division. In the Kvalserien he rose with Sodertalje SK from the second division.

For the season 2011/12 Heed joined the Swedish second division Malmö Redhawks. After the season he signed a contract with the first Växjö Lakers, who had ascended in the Elitserien 2011. A few weeks later he was also an NHL entry-level contract from the Anaheim Ducks, but was borrowed for the 2012/13 season to the Lakers. In the summer of 2013, the loan agreement to the Skellefteå AIK has been transferred.

Internationally

For the U19 and U20 Juniors Sweden Heed denied in 2009 and 2010 several friendly matches.
