Bud Holloway

George " Bud " Holloway III ( born March 1, 1988 in Wapella, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since 2011 he plays for Skellefteå AIK Hockey Svenska ligands on the position of the right winger.

Career

Holloway began his career with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League ( WHL ) for which he regularly came into use from the WHL season 2004/ 05. NHL Entry Draft 2006 Holloway was selected in the third round at a total of 86 position by the Los Angeles Kings. Then the offensive athlete completed two more seasons with the Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League. On 24 April 2008 Holloway signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings.

In the following three years, however, the winger completed no match for the Kings in the National Hockey League, but was mainly for their farm team Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League action. In summer 2011, Bud Holloway declined a contract offer from the Los Angeles Kings and instead wrote a one-year contract with Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Elitserien. In the Elitserien game 2011/12 season he was with his new team runner-up, after Skellefteå lost the play-off final series against Brynäs IF. Then Skellefteå and Holloway agreed to a contract extension by one year. In the 2012/13 Elitserien season Holloway scored 71 points scorer in 55 games and was the most successful scorer in the league. In addition, he was named most valuable player with the Guldhjälmen. Add to Elitserien - play-offs in 2013 he reached the championship finals with Skellefteå and sat there through against Luleå HF. Then, his contract was extended for another year.
