Tri-Rail and Metrorail Transfer Station

The Tri-Rail and Metrorail transfer station is a junction station at the junction of the operated by the Tri-Rail regional transport between the airport and Miami Mangonia Park in Palm Beach County and operated by the Miami -Dade County Metro Rail. It is located between the suburbs and the Hialeah CDP West Little River northwest of the city limits of Miami in Florida.

In the immediate vicinity is also operated by Amtrak train station from Miami, but which is abandoned in favor of the budget for 2013 Opening of the Miami Central Station shortly.

Function

On the lower level run in a north-south direction, the regional train Tri-Rail that hold two side platforms. Here is stairs and elevators connecting to the upper level to the Green Line trains running in a west-east direction Metrorail. The suburban trains run from here also on two side platforms on the one hand of town towards the medley, as well as towards the city in the direction of Downtown Miami and in an arc on to Kendall southwest of the city.

In rush hour, there is a high volume of traffic at the station. A large part of the traffic, however, will relocate to the opening of the new Miami Central Station in 2013 due to shorter travel times to the city center on this.
