Tribal-class destroyer (1936)

The Tribal class were a group of sixteen destroyers, which were built before the Second World War for the Royal Navy.

After the Tribal class of 1905, the second group of ships that were named after tribes to which special soldierly virtues were said to have received the British navy. On March 10, 1936, the first seven units were commissioned; in June of the same year followed by nine additional orders. They all ran in 1937 from the stack. The commissioning of the first ship HMS Afridi ( F07 ) was in May 1938 Due to various changes in the armament during finishing phase were six ships delivered in 1939. ; as the last Tribal Destroyers came the HMS Punjabi (F21 ) the end of March 1939 the Royal Navy.

A further eight units received the Royal Canadian Navy; three ships were provided by the Royal Australian Navy in service.
