Triin Ojaste

Triin Ojaste (born 14 March 1990 in Tartu, then Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union) is an Estonian cross-country skier.

Triin Ojaste is the daughter of biathletes Kalju Ojaste. She lives in Otepaeae and starts for the Oti Sports Club. The student went international for the first time in 2007 in a race of Scandinavia Cup and was in Jõulumäe 30 of a 5- kilometer race. Up to the Junior World Championships 2008 in Val Venosta the Estonian launched primarily in this series. At the World Championships she came on the 34th place in the sprint, was 61 over 10 km and reached the 14th place in the relay. My first cross-country skiing World Cup races contested Ojaste in November 2008 in Kuusamo, where it was 62 in the sprint. Then she reached three -digit rankings in three FIS races in Lapinlahti. There were Ojastes first international top ten results. Reasonably good results brought the Junior World Championships in 2009 in Le Praz -de- Lys Sommand. With a ranking of 13 in the sprint and 12th in the pursuit of the Estonian achieved their best World Junior Championships results. There was also a 31 place over 5 kilometers. After the Junior World Championships Ojaste was also nominated for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec. In the Czech Republic it reached the 37th place in the sprint and came up with the season on the 15th and last place. At the beginning of the season 2009/10 succeeded in Dusseldorf Ojaste the first entry into the finals with a sprint competition. By 23, she won first place in her career World Cup points. This secured her a nomination for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
