Career
Trophy Scars is founded by Jerry Jones, John Ferrara and Mike Schipper in Morristown in 2002, and shortly thereafter encounters added the just thirteen years old drummer Brian Ferrara. In the same year they publish the self-recorded album Darts to the Sea over the top plate of a friend. The self-distributed EP sold Hospital Music For The Aesthetics of Language is recorded and produced in 2003 in the portrait studios in New Jersey by Chris Badami. After Trophy Scars have signed a record deal with the label The Death Scene Recording Company, released in June 2005, the EP Goodnight Alchemy which was again produced by Chris Badami. Appears in the March 2006 Darts to the Sea / Sand in the Sea a double CD consisting of the debut album Darts to the Sea and the B-side Collection Sand in the Sea. The 15 songs on the second CD are demo recordings already released songs or previously unreleased songs.

Trophy Scars see themselves as a DIY band. Instead of letting the label work for them, they organize things by myself. The artwork of the released CDs mostly designed by Jerry Jones.
