Trust Merchant Bank
The Trust Merchant Bank or TMB is an independent banking company in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with its headquarters in Lubumbashi in the Congolese province of Katanga. The Trust Merchant Bank S.A.R.L. is a limited company according to Congolese law.
History
The bank was founded by the former money changer Robert Levi of an old established family in Katanga, which comes from Italy, and commenced operations in 2004. Levi is still (2012 ) the largest shareholder of the bank. Since 2010, TMB is entrusted to the monthly salaries of the employees of the Mission de l' Organisation des Nations Unies en République Démocratique du Congo ( MONUSCO ) to pay off the entire Congo.
Lines of business
The TMB is both a commercial bank and collection point for savings amounts and it is successful in the field of microcredit. It is among the largest banks in the Congo, in both the equity and revenue. TMB is regulated by the Banque Centrale du Congo and is a member of the Association des Banques. She is a member of the SWIFT Association ( TRMSCD3L ) and is a business partner of Western Union and VISA. Furthermore, TMB sells products and services from MasterCard. It operates in Kinshasa ATMs, pay off both the Congo francs and dollars.
