Turovice

Turovice ( German Turowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is eleven kilometers south-east of Přerov and belongs to Okres Přerov.

Geography

Turovice located in the Podbeskydská pahorkatina ( Vorbeskidenhügelland ). The village is located on the left side of the Moštěnka on a terrace and forms Novosady and Dřevohostice a closed building area. South-east rises the Šibenice ( 300 m), in the south of the Olehlá (316 m), southwest of the Kozrálská ( 283 m) and Lisensky Mlýn (260 m) and in the northwest the Kopaniny (284 m).

Neighboring towns are Nahošovice in the north, Novosady and Dřevohostice in the east, Lipová, Bílavsko and Hlinsko pod Hostýnem the southeast, Prusinovice, Pacetluky and Kozrál in the south, Kostelec u Holešova, Karlovice and Líšná the southwest, Domaželice in the west and Podolí in the northwest.

History

Turovice was taken on a leading on the Moštěnka to Hostýnské medieval trade route. The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1131 in a freight directory of the archdeaconry Přerov, which had a Hube country here. Turovice was an old manor house, which was located at the festivals at Na Zámčiskoch. Around 1350 the brothers Hereš, Jiřík, Ondřej and Ješek used, called Sysel, the first time the predicate de Turowicz. The fortress was first mentioned in 1359 as the seat of Ješek de Turowicz. Later, the Good Drslav of Schellenberg ( Drslav ze Šelmberku ), the 1371 one-half of Turovice together with Dřevohostice to Ctibor of Cimburg and ten years later, the other about writing to Zdeněk Bukovský von Sternberg. Belonged Peter Hecht of Turovice, also called Hereš, belonged from 1393 to the vassals of the bishopric of Olomouc. In 1415 he was among the signatories of an appeal against the Council of Constance. In 1584 Turovice was subservient to the castle Přerov. 1747 was the establishment of a Lehnsgerichts. 1791 were living in the 40 houses of the village 242 people.

After the abolition of patrimonial Turovice / Turowitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Holle show. In 1890, the village of 52 houses and 308 inhabitants had. 1930 were in Turovice 57 houses with 303 inhabitants. In 1951 Turovice was incorporated into Dřevohostice, this association was abolished in 1964. After the abolition of Okres Holešov the community in 1960 associated with the Okres Přerov. In 1964 Turovice again as the district to Dřevohostice. Since 1990, the place is independent again. In 1991 the village had 222 inhabitants. Turovice since 1997 has a coat of arms and banners. Ethnographic the village belongs to Hanna.
