The PGE Turow Zgorzelec is a Polish professional basketball team. The center, based in Zgorzelec SPORTOWE club plays in the Polska Liga Koszykówki ( German Polish Basketball League ) and the VTB United League.

History

The club Turow Zgorzelec was founded in 1948. From it was 1964, the Division Basketball forth. 1978 increased the club for the first time in the first Polish basketball league and played there for only one season. The next 25 years the club played in the 2nd Polish league and entered after the first place in the second league again in 2004 in the first league. In the following years it succeeded Turow five times (2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013) to reach the play-off final. For a title it has never served. Three times (2008/ 09, 2009/10, 2011/2012 ) took part in the ULEB Eurocup Turow, but did not progress beyond the group stage.

The normal season games in the Polish league denies the club in the center SPORTOWE, built a gymnasium in 1986 in Zgorzelec. It offers 1,700 spectators. Until 2014, a new hall in Zgorzelec arise which will both meet the new requirements of the Polish League and the ULEB.
