Ugo Rondinone
Ugo Rondinone ( born November 30, 1964 in Schwyz ) is a Swiss artist.
Life
Rondinone grew up in Brunnen SZ. He studied from 1986 to 1990 with Ernst Caramelle at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Rondinone has been living in Zurich in 1990 and since his appointment in 1998, the artist's studio at PS1 in New York was awarded, also in New York. Rondinone works as a concept, media and installation artist, with large-scale woodcuts, abstract painting, sculpture, photography and comics. His main topics include addressing spatial aspects as well as the visualization of time and transience.
