Underneath Your Clothes is a pop ballad by the Colombian singer Shakira. It was released as the second single from her English album Laundry Service. In the song, the longing of a woman is expressed by her lover, after the place " underneath your clothes ", which she sees as their territory and they - "being such a good girl" - has also earned. The song was written by Shakira and Lester Mendez.
On the second live album of the singer, Live & Off the Record, an acoustic version of the song is included, which started in April 2003 Shakira at a gig in Rotterdam as part of their Tour of the Mongoose. In the music video for Underneath Your Clothes, American photographer Herb Ritts directed. The video begins with a black and white scene in which a reporter Shakira asks how she felt after getting into the English language music market. Shakira answers him in Spanish. Shakira said in MTV Making the Video, it wanted that there is an allusion to their transition to English-language music in the music video.
