Unipetrol
Unipetrol is a Czech group of companies, petrochemical, headquartered in Prague. The company was founded in 1994 today is majority owned by Europe's biggest oil processor, the Polish oil and gas station company PKN Orlen. Main business of Unipetrol, the processing of crude oil, fuel trading and manufacturing of petrochemical products.
Unipetrol counts measured by sales to the five largest companies in the Czech Republic and the largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe in general. The stock is listed on the Prague Stock Exchange and listed index of the most liquid and highly capitalized companies in this market in the Czech Traded. In August 2008, Unipetrol showered for the first time since 1997 a dividend, which PKN Orlen received about 84.5 million euros.
In fiscal 2006, Unipetrol posted sales of 3372.1 million euros. The company now employs (2013 ) around 3650 employees ( 2006 or 6000).
Shareholder
PKN Orlen since May 24, 2005 owns a 62.99 percent stake in Unipetrol. 37.01 % of the shares are in free float.
Investments
- Česká rafinérská as, Kralupy nad Vltavou and Záluží (51% ): largest refinery in the Czech Republic ( annual capacity of 8.8 million tonnes ), a joint venture of Unipetrol as with the Italian oil and energy group ENI International BV and the Dutch, Shell Overseas Investment.
- Benzina sro, Prague ( 91.77 %, intention to increase to 100 % in October 2008 announced ): largest, with over 300 stations Czech gas station chain
- Paramo as, Pardubice (100 %): largest Czech crude oil processors, especially in the area of diesel fuel, lubricating oils and bitumen production. Since 2000 owned by Unipetrol, approximately 500 employees. Mogul Slovakia, S.R. o (100 %): manufacturer of engine oil, compressor and turbine oil, hydraulic oil, among others in Slovakia
- Unipetrol Doprava s.r.o., ( 99.88 %): Czech private railway
- HC Litvinov, a.s. (71 %): Czech Hockey Team
