University of Arkansas at Little Rock

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (also known as UALR ) is a state university in Little Rock in the center of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The University has 12,000 students, the second largest public university in Arkansas according to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Since 1969 she is part of the University of Arkansas System. The university is known for its research and teaching in information technology and for their law school.

History

The University was founded in 1927 as Little Rock Junior College and was converted to the Little Rock University in 1957. In 1969, it was under their present name part of the University of Arkansas System.
