University of Arkansas – Fort Smith

The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith ( UA Fort Smith called ) is a state university in Fort Smith in the west of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The University has 6,631 students with the fifth largest university in Arkansas. It is a site of the University of Arkansas System.

History

The University was founded in 1928 as Fort Smith Junior College, changed its name to Westark Community College in February 1972 in Westark College in February 1998 and took its current name in January 2002.
