V Australia

Virgin Australia International ( previously V Australia ) is an Australian airline based in Sydney. It is a subsidiary of Virgin Australia and thus the Virgin Group.

History

Under the name of V Australia, the airline was founded in 2007 as a subsidiary of Virgin Blue and started operations in February 2009 on the route from Sydney to Los Angeles. End of 2011, she went on as part of the restructuring of the Virgin Blue to Virgin Australia and changed its name to Virgin Australia International. Flight routes and code-share agreements and the fleet were retained in the restructuring.

Destinations

Virgin Australia International focuses on long-haul flights and is currently operated by Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from Los Angeles and Abu Dhabi. In the past, Phuket, Nadi and Johannesburg were served.

In addition, there codeshare agreement with Aer Lingus, Air Berlin, Delta Air Lines and Etihad Airways.
