Vadim Brovtsev

Vadim Vladimirovich Browzew ( born July 26, 1969 in Chelyabinsk, in the then Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, Russian Вадим Владимирович Бровцев ) is a South Ossetian politician of Russian origin and was from August 2009 to May 2012 Prime Minister of the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia.

Career

After military service in the Strategic Missile Forces of the Soviet Army Vadim Browzew studied at the Sverdlovsk Institute of Economics Sciences. In 1990 he was involved in Chelyabinsk in the foundation of the construction company Wermikulit. From 1994 to 1996 he held senior positions in the forwarding Ural Awto. From 1996 to 2005 he was a member of the City Council of Osjorsk the Urals. After that, he was Chairman of Directorate Wermikulit. Browzew lived before his appointment as Prime Minister of South Ossetia in Sochi, since his company is involved in several construction projects here for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Political activity in South Ossetia

On 5 August 2009 he was appointed President of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity of the successor of Aslanbek Bulazew in the Office of the Prime Minister of South Ossetia. Browzew is seen as a " man of Moscow", which is to control the handling of South Ossetia with the Russian grants. After the military conflict in South Ossetia in 2008, Russia had begun to support South Ossetia in large scale material, to finance the repair of war damage. In early 2010 it was reported in the media of President Kokoity trying to push Browzew from office, in order to escape Moscow's control. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin urged the South Ossetian president to thereupon, further action against Browzew and its environment, related Kokoity of South Ossetia critics called " Chelyabinsk Mafia " to refrain.

Vadim Browzew is married and has a daughter and a son.
