Valaská Belá

Valaská Bela ( until 1927 slovak " Wallachian Bela "; Hungarian Bélapataka - to 1900 Valaszkabella ) is a municipality in Slovakia.

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1324 as Bela field. To her the settlements Gapel still include not only the actual place ( German Gapel ) Matušíková, Stanáková, Studenec and Skřipov.

The town was founded in the Middle Ages by Wallachian law and belonged to the domination of Ujfalussy family, from the reign Bossányi 1427, later the diocese Neutra, the Rudnay family, Splényi family and in the 16th century, including the castle Košeca. The inhabitants were engaged in agriculture. The district Gapel, which lies west of the capital, came only in 1960 as a spin- out of the church Zliechov to the municipality.
