Venezuelan presidential election, 2012

The presidential election in Venezuela took place on 7 October 2012.

Incumbent Hugo Chávez ( PSUV ), who raced for the alliance Gran Polo Patriótico (GPP ), was re-elected with a clear majority of 55.13 percent, this was, however, lower than in the previous elections. The supported by the broad opposition coalition Mesa de la Unidad Democrática Henrique Capriles runner ( Primero Justicia ) came to 44.25 %. The remaining four candidates did not play a role.

2011
