Veselíčko (Písek District)

Veselíčko ( German Weselitschko ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south of Milevsko in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Pisek.

Geography

Veselíčko is located in the south of belonging to the Central Bohemian hills Milevská pahorkatina. The village lies on Bach BILINSKY creek, which is jammed in the northern part of the pond Veselíčko Veselský fishpond. To the north there is the pond Velky Prachovský fishpond. To the northeast, the Lomy rise (518 m) and the Vlčí vrch (517 m), in the southeast of the Na Varte (480 m ) west of the Šlahoun (514 m ) and north-west the Obora (570 m). By Veselíčko leads the state road II/105 between Milevsko and Bernartice. Northwest runs the railway line Tábor Pisek.

History

Archaeological finds indicate a prehistoric settlement in the municipal area. In 1930, a Bronze Age deposit was discovered dating from around 1500 BC between Veselíčko and Bilina. The original 32 Bronzemasseln lay in a large decorated ceramic bowl; 26 of them are now in the Museum of Milevsko and four in the Prague National Museum.

Veselíčko probably belonged since the 13th century to the possessions of the Premonstratensian Mühlhausen. The monastery was destroyed on 23 April 1420 by the Hussites, where all documents were lost. Then the Klingenberg castle count Jan Hájek of Hodětín slammed the orphaned monastic estates of royal rule Klingenberg. After in 1430 the Hussites besieged castle Klingenberg, pledged by King Sigismund the rule in 1431 to Ulrich von Rosenberg because he feared that his Burggraf Kunata Kapler would soon spill over to the insurgents. The first written mention of Veseli dates back to 1488th After Christoph von swan mountain was deceased in 1534, was in 1540 a division of Klingenberg goods, where his second son John of Swan Mountain was given dominion Mühlhausen. At that included, in addition Veseli including the villages Stehlovice, Bilina, Branice, Křižanov, Rukáveč, Velka, Kučeř and Květov. In 1575 he sold the villages Veseli, Křižanov and Bilina on Bohuslav from Kalenice who built a manor house this merged into a good and in Veseli. In 1783, the childless Johann Nepomuk Chlumčanský sold the estate Veselíčko his brother Josef Bretfeld to Kronenburg. In 1792 the school was included in Veselíčko. 1797 a Expositur the parish Bernartice and 1801 Kaplanat was established in Veselíčko. On the road to Jestrebice a cemetery was created in 1806. 1820 Josef inherited Bretfelds son Franz Josef Freiherr von Bretfeld - Chlumčanský to Kronenburg Veselíčko and bought the estate in 1830 still Svatkovice by Johann Nádherný added. Franz Josef Bretfeld to Kronenburg died childless in 1839 in Vienna, the inheritance fell to his two nephews.

In 1840 the estate included a floor space of 2203 square fathoms yoke 658. On the Good lived in 1338, mainly Czech -speaking people, including 34 Israelite families. The main source of income was the agriculture. The rule entertained two Meier yards and sheep farms in Weseličko and small Zbieschitz. The Office Weseličko village consisted of 67 houses with 459 inhabitants, including 27 Israelite families. After the abolition of patrimonial Veselíčko / Weselitschko formed in 1850 a municipality in the district court and district Milevsko. From 1851, the donations could build its own church be realized. Milevsko - - Pisek - On November 20, 1889, the railway line Tabor took Ražice on the traffic. The old cemetery on the road to Jestrebice was repealed in 1882 and created a new cemetery on the road to Bilina. The rectory was built in 1886. In 1898, the volunteer fire department was formed. After the abolition of Okres Milevsko Veselíčko was assigned to the Okres Pisek end of 1960. 1961 Bilina was incorporated. 1 January 1988 Veselíčko was incorporated into Branice. Veselíčko and Bilina dissolved 1 July 1990 again from Branice off and formed the community Veselíčko.

The municipality consists of the villages Veselíčko Bilina ( Bilin ) and Veselíčko ( Weselitschko ).

Attractions

  • Castle Veselíčko, it was the end of the 17th century for Alexander Güntersthal. Under Anton Chlumčanský of Přestavlk and Chlumčan was a redesign of the castle. Josef Bretfeld had the castle in the years 1797 to 1798 to expand in the Baroque style; it saw the construction of the right wing and the public chapel of St..
