Vila Vila

Vila Vila is a town in the Cochabamba Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

Vila Vila is the central location of the municipality of Vila Vila in the province Mizque. The village lies at an altitude of 2534 m on the right bank of the Río Wila Wila, a tributary of the Río Mizque.

Geography

Vila Vila is situated between the mountain ranges of the Cordillera Oriental and the Cordillera Central. The climate is characterized by year-round spring-like temperatures and low rainfall.

The average annual temperature of the region is about 20 ° C (see climate chart ) and an annual rainfall of 550 mm. The warmest month is November with an average of just over 22 ° C, coldest months are June and July with about 17 ° C. Vila Vila is located at a distance of 109 kilometers of road southeast of Cochabamba, the capital of the department of the same name.

From Cochabamba the paved highway Ruta 7 results in a southeasterly direction 33 miles to Tolata, then a dirt road over twelve kilometers further south over Cliza by Toco. From there, the road continues 64 km to the southeast on Matarani and Sacabamba to Vila Vila.
