Villefort, Lozère

Villefort is a commune in the department of Lozère of the Languedoc -Roussillon region. It is located at about 550 meters above sea level and has 598 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Geography

Villefort is located in south-central massif south of the river Altier in the region Cevennes. The highest mountain of the Cevennes, Mont Lozère, is located about 20 km west of the community.

Attractions

The Cevennes railway line between Clermont-Ferrand and Nîmes through the town.
