Vincent Long Van Nguyen

Vincent Long Van Nguyen OFM Conv ( born December 3, 1961 in Dong Nai ) is Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne.

Life

Vincent Long Van Nguyen joined the Order of the Friars Minor, put the profession on December 8, 1984, the Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne, George Pell, ordained him a priest on December 30, 1989. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 20 May 2011 as the Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne and Titular Bishop of Thala.

The Archbishop of Melbourne, Denis Hart, ordained him on June 23rd of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were George Cardinal Pell, Archbishop of Sydney, and Giuseppe Lazzarotto, Apostolic Nuncio in Australia.
