Vittorio Gui

Vittorio Gui ( born September 14, 1885 in Rome, † 16 October 1975, in Fiesole, near Florence) was an Italian composer and conductor.

Gui was conductor at various North Italian houses, in 1925, he worked at the Teatro Turin. Gui was very interested in opera excavations and thus has a number of composers of the 19th century helped to return to the repertoire of the theaters.

In addition, Gui also emerged as a composer with symphonic poems, the lyrical fable Fata Malerba (1923 ), songs, and many other things, so far as he had strong interest in the development of modern music in Italy.
