Volodymyr Boshchuk

Volodymyr Mykolaiowytsch Boschtschuk (Ukrainian Володимир Миколайович Бощук; born August 3, 1982 in Verhovyna ) is a former Ukrainian ski jumper.

Career

He jumps for the ski club Werchowina. Boschtschuk is particularly active with Oleksandr Lasarowytsch and Vitaly Schumbarez in the World Cup and the Continental Cup. Boschtschuk was for the first time in the 2002/2003 season at the Nordic World Ski Championships here and participated in the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf part. Boschtschuk in 2006 was in the squad for the Olympic Winter Games in Turin, but failed to qualify on neither the normal nor on the large hill for the final round. In the season 2006/2007 he took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo. From the normal hill he was there 35, for jumping on the large hill he could not qualify.

Only in the 2007/2008 season he succeeded with the two- years-younger Oleksandr Lasarowytsch the breakthrough. At the World Cup in Klingenthal on 11 February 2009 Boschtschuk gained as 29 his first World Cup points. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec Boschtschuk was on the normal hill and 44th on the large hill 28 at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he retired in jumping on the normal hill as the 50th after the first round of. When qualifying on the big hill he could not qualify for the finals to be 46.

After the 2010/11 season he finished his career.
