Von hier aus – Zwei Monate neue deutsche Kunst in Düsseldorf
From here - Two months new German art in Dusseldorf was the title of an in Hall 13 of Messe Dusseldorf held from 29 September to 2 December 1984, the city of Dusseldorf and the Society of Contemporary Art Dusseldorf eV art exhibition. For the artistic director and the organization of the curator Kasper König took over the responsibility. The show should help give the city Dusseldorf again to a higher position in the art world, to the city of Cologne in art competition to be coequal again
The exhibition united 63 artists of contemporary art in a culture foreign to the former understanding hall, space designed by the architect Hermann Czech. Were shown, among other sculptures, paintings, graphic works, objects and video art and installations. The used for the exhibition lettering from here bore the handwriting of Joseph Beuys and was also designed by him. The media at that time exercised a remarkable amount of criticism of the procedure Kasper king and the selection of works of the artist, yet the exhibition in retrospect is one of the most important in Germany of the 1980s.
