Vransko

Vrana ( German: Franz ) is a city and a municipality in the region Spodnja Štajerska ( Lower Styria ) in Slovenia.

In the overall community consisting of 16 villages around 2,593 people live. The main town of Vrana has 720 inhabitants and is situated at 340 m altitude. The municipality is located halfway between Maribor and Ljubljana.

Worth seeing is the karst cave Skadavnica. Also noteworthy are the old churches in the community, St. Michael (1123 ), St. Mohor in Stopnik ( 1317 ) and St. Hieronimo ( 1545 ).

In Vrana there is a fire museum with the technology of the 19th century and a motorcycle museum, which displays a collection of over 150 models from its beginnings to the 1960s, including Puch machines and the Slovenian model Pohorc.
