Wagendrischelhorn

Wagendrischelhorn from the north of Ross Alley

The Wagendrischelhorn is with 2251 m after Stadelhorn and Big Häuselhorn the third highest mountain in the Reiter Alm in the Berchtesgaden Alps. Of the three highest peaks of the Reiter Alm Wagendrischelhorn stands in the middle and is the top destination easiest achievable. From the south Stadelhorn it separates the 2055 m high Mayrberg Charter, the northern Great Häuselhorn an unnamed col at around 2125 meters above sea level. Viewed from Ramsau, the Wagendrischelhorn presented as striking rounded rocky peaks and identifying feature location and mountain range.

The normal route leads from the north-eastern Rosskarscharte in 45 minutes to the summit. From the New Traunstein hut you reach the Wagendrischelhorn in 2.5 hours through the Ross Alley. The Rosskarscharte need not be entered. Even before the col branches in Rosskar a riser right that leads to the normal route. From the Mayrberg Charte a via ferrata of south leads in 45 minutes on the Wagendrischelhorn.

The summit panorama from Wagendrischelhorn is that of his neighbors hardly slightly higher after, ranging from Unterberg, Hoher Goll and hochkalter over and Leogang Lofer Steinberg mountains to Sunday Horn. In addition, the Wagendrischelhorn on a clear day offers views of the Great Tide Pool to the east across the Dachstein and the Hohe Tauern with Grossglockner and GROßVENEDIGER to the Zugspitze in the West.
