Wake Me Up (Avicii song)

Wake Me Up (also Wake Me Up, English for: wake me up ) is a song by Swedish DJ and music producer Avicii, who sang by the American soul singer Aloe Blacc and the accompaniment is played with acoustic guitar of Mike Einziger. The song was released in June 2013, first as a single and later as the first song of Avicii 's debut album, True, released in Germany on 13 September 2013.

Avicii led the song for the first time at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The experiment, which was accompanied by a live band, among other things, Aloe Blacc, confused many viewers of the festival. After it Avicii reached great success with the worldwide release of the single. Wake Me Up! increased in many European and English-speaking countries No. 1 on the charts and was named as a " summer anthem" by Variance Magazine.

Background

In an interview with the British tabloid Daily Star Avicii, Wake Me Up said! had previously known in an interview with MTV UK as a " fun experiment" that he was still a singer and lyricist need, whereupon he Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda gave the advice to take Aloe Blacc, who immediately appealed and the very next day with the text was finished. He had previously developed in collaboration with Mike Einziger The melody.
