Waldo is a city in Alachua County in the U.S. state of Florida with 1,015 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Waldo is located around 15 km north-east of Gainesville and about 80 km southwest of Jacksonville.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 1,015 inhabitants distributed in 489 households. The population density was 182.6 inh. / Km ². 70.2 % of the population were white, 25.9 % African American, 0.2% Native American and 0.3 % Asian Americans. 1.6% were members of other ethnic groups and 1.8% in different ethnic groups. 3.2% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.
