Wall to Wall is a song by the American singer and songwriter Chris Brown. It was released on 21 May 2007 as the first single from Brown's second studio album, Exclusive, after which it reached on the Billboard Hot 100 number 79. Thus it is in the U.S. so far schlechtplatzierteste Single Browns. In the Media Control Charts it gained rank 59
Background and remix versions
The song was written by Sean Garrett and Walter Scott, where Garrett came into existence as a producer. Garrett had also collaborated on several tracks with Brown, so even with its first number-one hit in the U.S., " Run It! ".
At "Wall to Wall " are several official remixes. On the maxi-single in addition to the album version is still a remix with Jadakiss. On the maxi-single, a remix with Elephant 's Man. In addition, there are still a remix with Joe Budden and Lil Wayne, TI, Chamillionaire, Ludacris and Jadakiss. For all three versions exist music video, but the original video are similar and have each been changed only in detail, also some sequences are often added.
Music Video
The video is inspired by the film Blade from the year 1998, but at the same time recognizes the music video for Michael Jackson's single " Thriller ". It was first shown on 21 May 2007.
In the first scene Brown is bitten by an attractive female vampires, which suddenly appears in his car, in the neck. He then follows her to a place reminiscent of a castle, where he begins to dance. During the entire stay in the castle dance sequences are shown again and again. At the end of the video the camera from the lock switch back to the parking lot, where the bite of the Vampires took place, and it seems as if the entire events only been a fantasy. When Brown, however, is in his car, appeared next to him again on the vampire.
Success
Reception
The title was described as " anteckendes dance song", where the ladies would run directly on the Tänzfläche. One reviewer certified that the song great potential to be Browns next hit. In another review it said that the title of his second studio album, other publications such as " Kiss Kiss " is similar. It is nevertheless noted that no boredom while listening comes up, even if sometimes the " freshness" perish.
Commercial success
In the USA the title debuted at # 96 in the Billboard Hot 100 and reached after three weeks with rank 79 its maximum placement. With this placement, it is Brown's to today schlechtplatziertestes song on the Billboard Hot 100 Outside the U.S. was the single most only marginally successful and gained in Germany, for example, number 59 of the Media Control Charts.
Awards and nominations
The music video for the single was nominated at the MTV Video Music Awards 2007 in the category " Best Choreography in a Video ", however, where it lost to the video " My Love" by Justin Timberlake. At the Teen Choice Awards 2007 the song you suggested also in the category " Choice Music: R & B Track" for a price before the it but again did not win. This time, Sean Kingston received the award for his song " Beautiful Girls ".
