Wangcheng District

Wangcheng (望 城区, WangCheng Qū ) is a municipality of the prefecture-level city of Changsha, capital of Hunan province. The municipality has an area of 1,361 km ² and has about 700,000 inhabitants (2003 ). It lies on the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang river. Its main town is the large village Gaotangling (高 塘 岭镇).

The site of Changsha Tongguan ceramic kiln (Changsha Tongguan yao Yizhi ) Open since 1988 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 3-224 ).
