Wayne Swan

Wayne Swan ( * June 30, 1954 in Nambour, Australia) is an Australian politician.

Life

After school Swan studied at the University of Queensland economics. Swan was a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP ). From 1993 to 1996, and since 1998 is Swan MP in the Australian Parliament. 2007 to June 2013 was Swan Finance Minister of Australia under the Prime Ministers Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard and Gillard of June, 2010 appointed Deputy Prime Minister in Australia. After deselecting Gillard as Prime Minister Swan also withdrew from the government.

Swan is married and has three children.
