White City Stadium

The White City Stadium was a stadium in White City, a suburb of London. It was built to host the Summer Olympics 1908. Until the 1920s it was simply called " The Stadium ".

Construction began on July 31, 1907, and lasted about nine months; the cost was £ 44,000. On May 14, 1908 was officially opened by the Prince of Wales.
