1934 British Empire Games
The British Empire Games in 1934 were the second edition of that event, which is known as the Commonwealth Games today. They found from 4 to August 11, 1934 in London, the capital of the United Kingdom.
68 contests in the sports Bowls, Boxing, Athletics, cycling, wrestling, rowing and swimming were wearing (including diving). It was attended by around 500 athletes from 17 countries. Almost all the events took place at White City Stadium, the cycling competitions, however, in Fallowfield Stadium in Manchester.
One innovation was athletics competitions for women. The organizers were careful to include only events that were considered " not exhaustive ". Thus, the running events were limited to sprints and 4x220 - yards - season.
