1938 British Empire Games

The British Empire Games in 1938 were the third edition of that event, which is known as the Commonwealth Games today. They found from 5 to 12 February 1938 in the Australian city of Sydney instead, tuned to the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the city's founding.

71 contests in the sports Bowls, Boxing, Athletics, cycling, wrestling, rowing and swimming were wearing (including diving). It was attended by 464 athletes from 15 countries. Competition sites were Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney Sports Ground, North Sydney Pool and Henson Park.

The undisputed star of the event was the Australian Decima Norman, who won five gold medals in track and field disciplines.
