Also nearby is Loftus Road stadium, home of football club Queens Park Rangers. Just south of the station begins downtown tunnel on the Central Line. In contrast to the entire rest of the network, there is on the left-hand traffic, the trains here on the right track. The reason is the somewhat further south, now disused station Wood Lane, which was opened in 1908 as the then western terminus and built in the form of a turning loop. Halfway to the next Station East Acton intersect the two main lines and switch back to the left. The station itself has three tracks, the middle track is bounded on both sides by a platform and thus can be traveled by trains from both directions. Wend end trains can reach the depot White City from here.
