Willem Janssen

Willem Janssen ( born July 4, 1986 in Nijmegen) is a Dutch football player. The attacking midfielder has since 2011 FC Twente Enschede in the Eredivisie under contract, but for the season 2013/14 on loan at Premier League rivals FC Utrecht.

Career

Willem Janssen began his football career as a child at EWC'46 in Well on the Meuse. From there he came to the Youth Training VVV- Venlo. In the season 2004/ 05 he made his debut in the First Division when he came off the bench on 20 August 2004 in the home match against Excelsior Rotterdam in the 73rd minute for Van Loenhout. Just two game days later he was in the starting and again returned two weeks later in the match at FC Zwolle as " Joker" his first league goal for a 2-2 draw.

The 1.86 -meter Midfield allrounder became already in his first season as an important complement of players VVV. In 27 league missions he scored two goals. In the 2005/06 season he showed his strength in central midfield to the test and conquered soon a regular place. With him VVV reached three times the Relegation Round, in 2007 the team managed the climb.

At this time stood Janssens change after Kerkrade Roda JC already. Here he found with Marcel Meeuwis, Elbekay Bouchiba, the come from RSC Anderlecht Cheik Tioté and the Willem II Tilburg undertook Anouar Hadouir strong competitors before, but was able to play during the season in the starting eleven of coach Raymond Atteveld and became U -21 National player. The following season the team struggled against relegation and could only hold in the relegation just the class. His best time at Roda JC Janssen had in his own words since the winter break of the season 2009/10, after which the Roda team total was going through a performance increase and the next two seasons firmly placed in the secure midfield.

Janssen describes himself as a " team player " who seeks the combinations and owns running performance. One of his qualities is that he quickly advance into the open space behind the opponent's defense and thus could take care of themselves for gates.

In February 2011 it was announced that he moves to the 2011/12 season for FC Twente Enschede after, with whom he signed a four year contract. On June 20, 2011, he first participated in the training of Tukkers. After two years, he was loaned to FC Utrecht in the summer of 2013.

National

With Jong Oranje Janssen took as his Ivorian teammate Sekou Cissé alongside Ruud Vormer, Leroy George and the later A-National player Eljero Elia in 2008 at the Toulon Tournament in part, in which the Netherlands occupied the fifth place.
