Willem Peters

Willem Peters ( Wim Peters, born July 5, 1903 in Meppel, Drenthe, † March 30, 1995 in Zwolle, Overijssel) was a Dutch athlete.

1924 Peters took in Paris for the first time in the Olympic Games in part. With 13.86 meters he finished 11th in qualifying and did not reach the finals in the triple jump.

Four years later, he missed at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 with 14.55 meters in seventh qualifying only just the final.

With 14.93 meters Peters was fifth then in his third at the Olympics 1932 in Los Angeles.

When the first European Championships, which was held in 1934 in Turin, Peters won with 14.89 meters ahead of the Olympics Second 1932 Eric Svensson from Sweden with 14.83 meters.
