William Holcombe

William Holcombe ( born July 22, 1804 in Lambertville, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; † September 5, 1870 in Stillwater, Minnesota ) was an American politician (Democratic Party) and from 1858 to 1860, the first Lieutenant Governor of the State of Minnesota. Previously, he had participated in the 1857 Constitutional Convention of the new state.

In 1870, he was mayor of Stillwater, where he also died in the same year. Subsequently, he was buried there in the Fairview Cemetery. Holcombe was married twice. His first marriage, he went in 1826 with Martha Wilson, his second marriage in 1847 with Henrietta King Clendenin.
