William McLachlan (figure skater)

William McLachlan is a former Canadian figure skater, who started ice dancing.

Career

Firstly, its Eistanzpartnerin Geraldine Fenton. With her he took from 1957 to 1959 at world championships and always won a medal. 1957 and 1958 they were runners-up behind the British June Markham and Courtney Jones and in 1959 they won the bronze medal. From 1960 Virginia Thompson was his Eistanzpartnerin. Even with it, he won all World Championships, where he took part in a medal. In 1960, McLachlan and Thompson Vice World Champion behind Doreen Denny and Courtney Jones and in 1962 they won the bronze medal.
