William Yorzyk

William Albert Yorzyk (* May 29, 1933 ) is a retired American swimmer.

With the Summer Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, he was Olympic champion in the 200 m butterfly. He was the first gold medal winner over this distance. During his career, he set up a total of 11 world records. In 1971 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
