Williams Township is one of 27 townships of Ashtabula County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 1683 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Williams Township is located in the extreme southeast of Ashtabula County in the far northeast Ohio, is in the north about 40 km from Lake Erie away, on the east by Pennsylvania and clockwise in the townships: Andover Township, South Shenango Township, Crawford County (Pennsylvania), West Shenango Township ( Crawford County, Pennsylvania), Kinsman Township, Trumbull County, Gustavus Township ( Trumbull County), Wayne Township and Cherry Valley Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
