Coat of arms

Blazon: "In the golden haloed blue, silver and gold -clad Christ, his right hand raised in blessing, the left the red globe with golden cross holding. "

The only figure in the coat of arms of the Office Wilstermarsch, Christ represented as Salvator mundi with the globe in his left hand, can be found next to the Holstein nettle leaf and the Stormarner Swan also in the Steinburg district coat of arms of 1928. Both the representation at the senior county coat of arms as well as that of younger office coat of arms represent a recourse to the 1607 first finished seal of the old, the end of the 19th century repealed Wilstermarschkommüne dar. This took as an administrative body, although many other tasks was when the current office, but can be considered as its predecessor, which allows the use of Salvator subject justifies the official coat of arms. As the reference to Christ as Savior in the equally early modern seal of Garding is also the choice of subject for the seal of the municipality Wilstermarsch not explainable.
