Wolfram Kühn

Wolfram Kühn ( born November 7, 1952 in Bad Schwartau ) is Vice- Admiral of the German Navy and was on April 27, 2006 to March 28, 2012 Inspector of the Armed Forces base and Deputy Inspector General of the Bundeswehr.

Military Career

Training and first uses

Kühn joined in 1972 as an officer cadet of the Navy in the service of the Bundeswehr. In 1973 he was promoted to lieutenant. This was followed by a degree in Economic and Organizational Sciences at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg, where he graduated in 1977 as Diplom-Kaufmann. During this time he was promoted to Lieutenant in 1976.

After studying Kühn was transferred to the destroyer of Schleswig- Holstein with her home port of Wilhelmshaven, where he served as a locating officer from 1977 to 1979. In 1979 he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and transferred to Kiel. There he was employed from 1979 to 1982 as adjutant to the commander of the territorial commands Schleswig-Holstein and at the same time the German representative in the field of Allied Forces Northern Europe ( AFNORTH ) of NATO. After this staff use it went back to Wilhelmshaven, where Kuehn of 1982 served as a ship's supply officer on the frigate Rheinland -Palatinate until 1984. Service as a staff officer

From 1998 to 2001 he served as Head of Unit for fundamental matters of logistics and traffic and transportation in the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces ( FüS V 1) and the Armed Forces base ( FüSKB II 1, issued in October 2000, an independent military organization area) used in Bonn.

Service as an admiral

In 2001 he was finally appointed Commodore and displaced to 2002 as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Support Command under the command of Ulf von Krause to Cologne -Wahn. From 2002 to 2004 he served as Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Navy under the command of the Chief of Staff, Jörg Auer. 2004 Kuehn was eventually appointed himself to Rear Admiral and took over on 12 February of the same year by Egon ramming the post of Chief of Staff in the Armed Forces.
