Ya'akov Ben-Yezri

Jacob Ben- Jesri (Hebrew יעקב בן - יזרי; * January 1, 1927 in Fes ) is a former Israeli politician who was Minister of Health in 2009 of 4 May 2006 to 31 March. He was from 2006 to 2009 the Knesset Gil. He was elected in 2006 to the 17th Knesset and subsequently appointed Minister of Health in the Cabinet of Minister Ehud Olmert. As an avowed smoker he caused controversy when he smoked a cigarette in a television interview.
