YimpaÅŸ Yozgatspor

Yozgatspor is a Turkish football club from the central Anatolian city of Yozgat, which in the 2007/ 08 season in the Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu 2 Lig, the third- highest division of Turkey plays. The club colors are black and red

History

Yozgatspor was founded in 1959 under the name Bozokspor. 1961 changed the twelve member Board of Directors of the Association in the name Yeni - Bozokspor. The club had to contend with many difficulties. The financial hardship that made the city administration worried, also met the then single sports club of Yozgat.

The Board met on 12 December of the year 1961. At this meeting it was decided to dissolve the Association. On the same day marched hundreds of people on the Lise- Sokagi for the preservation of the association. Fundraisers were conducted.

The whereabouts of the crew was saved thanks to the sponsor Yibitaş, which consisted, however, to the renaming of the team in Yibitaş Yozgatspor.

The merger in 1973

In the early 1970s there was a boom in the whole of Turkey to the newly established sports clubs, as well as in Yozgat.

1973 Yibitaş Yozgatspor merged with Yozgat Büyükşehir Belediyespor and Uğurspor.

The sponsors - From Yibitaş to Yimpas

Yibitaş sponsored the club until the late 1990s. In 1997, the club decided on the resolution of the sponsorship agreement with Yibitaş and agreed with the Yimpas Holding to cooperate.

The Yimpas Holding is a founded in 1981 in Yozgat Dursun Uyar company that ( especially in the Turkic countries and in Europe) in the textile and food is now in Turkey, in Asia.

The rise in the Turkish Birinci Lig

In the season 1999/2000 Yimpas Yozgatspor reached the rise group, in which the ten strongest teams in the İkinci Lig played about a possible promotion to the top flight of Turkish football.

Among other things, played Yimpas Yozgatspor (abbreviated YYS ) against Kombassan Konyaspor, Çaykur Rizespor, Siirt Jetpaspor, Kayserispor, Sariyer, Izmirspor, Konya Endüstrispor.

YYS ended the rise group (tr: yükselme grubu ) as champion and rose to the first division.

Yozgatspor in Birinci Lig and the Süper Lig

In the 2000/2001 season YYS played within the ligament Birinci The opening Match of the team coached by Hüseyin Kalpar away against Beşiktaş Istanbul. The 0-3 defeat is not unsettled the team and the goal of the league was achieved in the first season with the 7th rank. Perhaps the most interesting game of the season played YYS against the giants Galatasaray. In the first two minutes scored for the home team Preko and Ayew and brought Yimpas Yozgatspor 2-0 lead. After a missed penalty by Ümit Davala the victory was no more to take away. The game ended 4-2 for YYS. ( UEFA Cup winners Galatasaray at the time was in top form, Real Madrid had beaten 3-2 on Wednesday in front of it (after a 0:2 behind at half-time ) ).

In the 2001/2002 season Yimpas Yozgatspor played in the Süper Lig, as the Turkish association umänderte the name of the league. This season was not as enjoyable for the Yigits from Yozgat. With the last Rank after 34 arduous games they dismounted in the second division.

End of the era Yimpas

Beginning of the 2005/2006 season was decided by the newly elected board resolution of the sponsorship agreement with the Yimpas holding company and the new name of the association: Yozgatspor.
