History

You Know You're Right was recorded at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle, Washington by Nirvana on 30 January 1994. However, at that time the song had no official title but was simply called # 1 on the list of titles of the recording session as Kurt 's Song. The song was, on October 23, 1993 of Nirvana played only once in Aragon Palace in Chicago Illinois, live. Another live version of the song was recorded by Cobain's widow in 1995 Courtney Love and her band Hole at an MTV Unplugged appearance.

Years there was confusion about the original name of the song. This is because Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl announced as the last song of the concert at the concert in Aragon Palace, erroneously the title All Apologies and not the already agreed by frontman Cobain You Know You're Right. Since Grohl's announcement on recordings is poorly understood, it quickly came to numerous assumptions about the name of the previously unknown songs. As fast as there were rumors that the title autopilot or on a Mountain would mean.

Publication

Since it came between the remaining Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic and Courtney Love to disputes over the use of Cobain's musical estate, which led to a dispute in court between the two parties to a dispute, among other things, it took until October 8, 2002 was to You Know You're Right ultimately published.

For the launch of the promotional single, a music video was produced by Chris Hafner, which was edited from concert clips of the band. The single debuted after its publication, a straight to number 1 on the U.S. charts and was chosen by the magazine spin on place 5 of the best singles of 2002.
